Shrine to the old gal’
Cheeky new Gymkhana 5 top…
So, it’s official, my beloved subaru swapped for a big bundle of £20’s…
Not gonna lie, it was quite sad hearing them blast her down the main road, knowing that was the last time i’d ever hear that sound.
My new 3-cylinder, 59 horsepower car :)
Certainly makes a change from the scoob!

Comparison of old vs. (potentially) new…
I sure will miss the scoobaru :(
One of the other shots from earlier :)
Few shots of the subie on her last day of being driven by me :)
Had a spin on a few fast country roads, she handles beautifully <3
So, was just driving home, being followed by a wagon impreza (turbo). He decided to overtake and bomb it well ahead when the speed limit changed from 30 to 50, so naturally, I followed suit, and caught up with him! My little N/A impreza, barely worth £1000, handled BEAUTIFULLY. It felt so natural, like the car was born for it. Scared mum a little, but nonetheless, amazing… This is why I love subarus :’)
Before and after, and the process
Pretty pleased with the centre caps :D
Ooh yeaaaah :D
This made me laugh so much omg…
First wheel done! :D Took a LOT of sanding/filling/polishing, but for a first attempt, i’d say it doesn’t look too shabby!
It’s been a decision that’s been hard to make- I’ve had the car so long (considering), changed the spoiler, brakes, taken the WHOLE interior out to clean and make blue, installed footwell lights, different dial faces, new bonnet, bonnet pins, new cone air filter, new bonnet scoops, new engine hoses, painted engine block, new headlights, new rear lights, new stereo, new speakers, soundproofing, installed amp+subs, and much more…
I’ve kind of got attached to it over the past two years, it’s MY car, almost as I want it… But the truth is, no one likes it except me- it annoys my parents, my girlfriend, and my neighbours (lol).
Also, it’s almost got 150,000 miles on the clock now and recently the rust on the chassis’s been repaired, i’ve had to replace the starter motor, had to replace the grommet on the steering rack… Add to that the shitty 19mpg i’m getting out of it, and the £3500 insurance a year, and you can see that it’s gonna cost a lot to drive after I pass my test.
If there was a way too keep the scoobaru, AND get something like a corsa, then i’d do it… But selling her is the only option I have. It won’t be easy, and i’ll probably try to put it of for months, but it’s inevitable :(
